A retrospective exhibition of the works of Vlahe Bukovca, Bukovac is being held in the newly built Gallery of the Tobacco Factory of Rovinj, definitely one of the most beautiful and luxurious of its kind on the Adriatic. On 12th of August 2001 in the open air in Rovinj, 36th traditional »Grisia” was held in the street of the same name. This biggest street exhibition in this area was extremely well visited this year too. Artists, both children and academy vedettas of Istrian and Croatian art of painting have been presenting their works with same privilege since 1965...

05. 08. Radio Company on the Rovinian waterfront
Travelling under the title "Supercontatto" - Super Contact - and due mainly to its exceptional animational concept, this spectacle presented an extremely successful variation of its radio broadcast by performing it live on a stage measuring 30 metres in length, by far the largest stage of its kind ever assembled in the city of Rovinj....


03. 08. Art Colony 2001
On 3 August, 2001, we were at the opening of the traditional Rovinian art colony, whose works will be on display in the Town Museum of the city of Rovinj until 1 September. As with every year, the colony will be comprised of the various works of both young artists, many of whom are taking advantage of the colony to showcase their works for the first time, and established contemporary Croatian artists, such as Željko Hegedušića.



29. 07. Rovinian folklore group "Batana"

Located at the foot of the main city square is a smaller square, often the setting for various cultural-entertainment events in the city. One of the recent events to take place here occured on 27 July, when the Ri-theatre from Rijeka presented their ethno-cabaret act, "Lijepom ti ga našom" (Our Beautiful)....

23. 07. CAS Uljanik - Pula
The society is comprised of a literary and art club, as well as a folklore ensemble, which includes a large orchestra of Isrian national musicians, singers (kantadura) and dancers. 20. 07. - 11. 08. One Man exibition Robi Sošić
Taking all of this into consideration, we came to the conclusion that this presentation - his eleventh individual exhibition - would be yet another successful creative project for this distinguished artist from Rovinj. We were able to elicit a few short comments from the artist on several subjects...

Till 4th of August a retrospective exhibition of a great Croatian painter, Josip Seissel, is held in the Town Museum in Rovinj.

One-man exhibition of a contemporary Croatian painter Fulvio Juričić, opened till 28th of July, is a review of his last ten years of work.
