Folk company “Cere” and folk group “Batana”
The night of traditional music and dances
Saturday, the 5th of July was filled with tradition. On the main city square, the numerous audience was delighted by the skill which the folk company “Cere” showed in performing its extremely well trained program. Dances, the sounds of “roženice” and accordions attracted really a great number of both domestic and foreign visitors who could imagine the traditional Istrian life, the unique culture as well as the richness of Croatian tradition.

In an intimate atmosphere of the Square under vaults, surrounded by the walls of old houses, the folk group “Batana” offered their friends and people attracted by music they heard, an exceptional musical experience. Their well known performances of old songs from Rovinj and Dalmatia were softly incorporated into the mystic atmosphere of the old town satisfying all the audience who thanked the group by warm and long applause.
