MARIO SIROTIĆ – NEW WORLD CHAMPION IN FAST-HITCH
PUSHUPS ON PALMS

On 8th of March, the international Woman’s Day, Mario Sirotić (50), Guinness champion in wrist pushups, once again showed skill and determination, overcoming Guinness record in fast-hitch palm pushups. Mario upgraded old record from 3416 (Roy Berger) to 3600 per hour – result worthy of Guinness Book of Records.
His student Patrik Frljić also broke Guinness record with 138 fast-hitch pushups in minute, overcoming 130 from Berger.
This advent took place at the terrace of hotel Park. About 50 viewers, reporters, friends and accidental passersby cheered “Super Mario” from Rovinj with applause and shouts during all 60 minutes.
Overjoyed Mario Sirotić told us at the end, that two nights he spent awake prevented
him from making even better result – during training he accomplished to come
to 4000 pushups in one hour, he said – he is preparing for a new record, this
time in weightlifting, most probable in lifting 50 kg weights on bench.
