– Host of 4th Istrian Summer Carnival
Carnival Parade Gathered 54 Groups

Thanks to the 4th Istrian Summer Carnival, which attracted 54 carnival
groups from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and Croatia, the town
walkway by the sea and the Marshall Tito Square turned into a big stage
for dancing and singing on Saturday night. One after the other, in a
parade accompanied by the rhythm of drums, trumpets and accordions, the
groups presented themselves to the citizens of Rovinj and numerous tourists.
Among two thousand participants to the carnival parade, one could find
dozens of princes and kings, one-eyed pirates and red-and-black lady-bugs,
numerous flower arrangements, and famous carnival groups such as the
“Silver Masks” from Abano Terme who were winners of prestigious awards
at many international carnivals.
There were also recognizable Venetian masks, “zvoncari” (bell-bearers) from Slovenia, the masks from Labin, as well as those most lovable ones from the host-town - groups of the youngest participants – the children from the town kindergartens.
The organizer of the Summer Carnival was yet again Vita Vitae Agency and its owner Vlasta Pokrajac.
