Beetles on Rovinj Quay for the Fourth Time
Fourth international convention of popular Volkswagen Beetles was closed by a ceremonious filing and lining up of cars on Rovinj quay. The parade, which attracted a large number of curious people, was an excellent overture for the oncoming event when participants voted the most beautiful and the oldest beetle, and the one that made the most kilometers on its way to Rovinj.
Overall, 180 Volkswagens arrived in Rovinj, carrying more than 500 lovers of this brand of car. According to one the organizers, the young Iva Pažanin, president of VW Beetle Club Zagreb, the cars came from all parts of Europe, and representatives of Serbia and Montenegro joined the convention in Istria for the first time.
Support to Beetle encounters was once again selflessly provided by the Tourist Association and the Town of Rovinj.
