Raise Blue Flags
Four Rovinj beahces – Polari, Veštar, Villas Rubin and one on Crveni otok (Red Island) – have had blue flags, symbols of clear sea and cultivated environment, waving since Saturday. They were raised for the first time in Polari and Crveni otok, while the other two confirmed their prior eco-beach status.
The flag raising ceremony in Polari was attended by a large number of invited guests, and Renzo Miletić, Director of Adria Resorts, had the honor of raising it high on the post. The event was followed by a mini-concert by Batana, a Rovinj folk band, as well as an appropriate speech given by Dr. Ante Kutle, president of Friends’ Movement «Lijepa naša», who talked about the significance of receiving this international, high environmental acknowledgement.
