Silver Shadow Sails into Valdibora
Silver Shadow, a super luxury cruiser traveling from Venice to Split and Dubrovnik, stopped in Rovinj, grabbing the citizens' attention with its size.
This is the first time this year an impressive ship like this sailed into the waters of Rovinj, bringing on board some three hundred American guests and the same number of crew members. To make it easier for the passengers to find their way around, the Tourist Board staff opened an info point aboard the very boat, where guests were provided with all the necessary information about historical, cultural and other landmarks of Rovinj.
The Silver Shadow is 186 meters long, 25 meters wide, and it weighs over 28 thousand tons. It was built in Genoa in 2000, and it is owned by Silversea New Build of the Bahamas.
The average price of accommodation on the super luxury boat, which offers several restaurants, a movie theater, a hall for dancing and theater plays, a library and a video store, a massage parlor, beauty and hair salons, a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and even a golf course, amounts to eight thousand dollars for a twelve-day cruise. The Silver Shadow is expected to visit Rovinj at least three more times during the season.
