IN THE CENTER FOR VISUAL ARTS „BATANA“
Celebration of 15th anniversary of folk-group „Batana“
The 15th anniversary of folk-group “Batana’s” successful performance was celebrated in the gallery space of the Centre for Visual Arts “Batana” in the presence of numerous guests and invitees.
The 15th anniversary of the group, the backbone of which is family Sugar- Antonella, Luciano and Giorgio, Giuseppe Pino Bartoli and Riccardo Bosazzi, was also the occasion at which through a photographic 15 years long time-machine, visitors were reminded of some of the interesting moments and events at which members of “Batana” performed. Among other, there are photos of “Batana” in the company of the President, Stjepan Mesić and Prefect, Ivan Jakovčić, the Director of Tourist Community, Dario Činić, with whom „Batana“ has had a good cooperation during the past years. Furthermore, there are some photos with smiling faces of dear and famous people who are no longer with us – singer Liliana Budicin and professors Josip Folo and Antonio Pellizzer.
In addition to photographs, „Batana“ also presented recognitions and diplomas which it has received over the years. Furthermore, the members have issued their own DVD for this occasion, focusing on the group’s genesis, its members and work. The DVD was a gift to many Rovinj residents who contributed to this folk-group endurance over the years and to becoming a musical brand of Rovinj.
