FROM FOLK MUSIC TO THE WORLD-FAMOUS HIT I'M SO EXCITED

This year’s Rovinj Night Festivities, although seriously threatened by rainy clouds, started with the Tourist Sailing Regatta, followed by social and sports games organized at the main city square.

Rope tugging and carrying of fish crates were only some of the games in which both the tourists and the locals participated.

The performances by the Rovinj Brass Band and various folk ensembles, especially enjoyed by the foreign tourists, offered refreshing moments after the strenuous exercise.

However, the real show started two hours before midnight when Gustafi came on the stage.

The likable Edi and the members of his multi-member band were warmly received by the citizens of Rovinj and their guests, as were also the Angels and the Le Mond, featuring a performance by the excellent Eva Čiček.

The concert performance by Nina Badrić was preceded by the fireworks show and a nice, unexpected event.

Judging by their embrace and the long-lasting kiss, the young woman must have said yes.

The audience applauded heartily.

Whether moved by the unexpected event or the fireworks show, Nina opened the concert with the hit I'm So Excited, after which she sang numerous other hits from her own repertoire and several international ones such as Should I Stay or Should I Go and I Will Survive.
