NIGHT SWIMMING WITH A TOUCH OF ROCK AND ROLL
Complementing the pleasant temperature of the sea, the real refreshment at the Balouta beach, turned this year into the first nighttime swimming area, was provided by the members of Dream Project, a local band.
The head- and feet-first dives of an ever-increasing number of night swimmers were accompanied by an excellent performance of songs and hits of Tina, Dona, Sting, the Beatles and others by Anðela, the band’s vocal soloist.
Besides the music, the special atmosphere was enhanced by the lighting, i.e. the underwater reflector lights, making the magnificent rock underneath the city saint, St. Euphemia, appear even more romantic.
To make sure that the swimmers and numerous passers-by enjoying the concert and watching the dives would not be left thirsty, the Tourist Association and Maistra provided sufficient quantities of the free bola.
