Rovinj living a life of sports
The second day of „Popolana“ was filled with sporting events. Competition in sports climbing on an artificial rock, organized by club „Muntravo“ had attracted over eighty trained competitors, but also a large number of guests and citizens. There was a lot of interest for bicycle contest called „The path of Rovinj’s little churches“.
Bicycle contest was open for all ages, and a seventy three year old Jelenko Milošević, the oldest contestant, proved that it is never too late.
Chess tournament and competition on rowing simulators were held as well, while speedmington, the new sport discipline, for the first time presented to wider audience, attracted a shy number of participants.
Mirjana Kmačić Pellizzer demonstrated the will power, desire and perseverance who, having run a 100 km long marathon from Muggia to Rovinj, truly delighted her fellow-townsman.
As expected, the performance by a local „Party band“ was excellently received. Guests were especially enjoying their interpretation of rock and soul songs
