THE THIRD AND LAST EVENING OF ROVINJ NIGHT

Gibonni and Aki saw the summer off

This year’s three day Rovinj night ended with the performance by two popular domestic musicians. Gibonni, the author of some of the best love songs, a composer and a singer performed songs from his best sold albums «Mirakul» and «Unca fibre» in front of the audience that crowded the town square.

Aki Rahimovski introduced songs from his first solo album «U vremenu izgubljenih» (In the time of the lost). A former singer of the legendary «Parni valjak», reminded the audience of some of the most popular songs of this great domestic band which unfortunately decided to split too soon.

Before Gibonni and Aki, a domestic band «Dream project», followed by the «B. R. K.» band (of a known guitarist Marijan Brkić Brk, in which another member of «valjak» Berislav Blažević plays) with energetic performance by all members and great vocal by Gabrijela, warmed up the audience looking for a better seat and view of the stage.

Popular Brk introduced his band and long and rich music experience with the compositions from album «Bolji svijet» (A better world), which was greatly received by both the audience and the critics. Music connoisseurs were impressed with the jazz program on Trg Rivijera (Riviera square).

Marko Ramljak, a violinist, guitarist and a composer impressed the audience with the songs from his album «Rebaltadura», as have the members of «Labyrinth», who also issued their first independent album. Grupa «El Tiburon», whose music is based on the tradition of Afro-Cuban music and jazz, found its audience among the fans of Latino music.

The third Rovinj night in addition had rich domestic gastronomic offer. Especially decorated stands by «Maistra» offered fish and meat specialties on Trg Rivijera and along the waterfront. You had to make a choice between calamari, salmon, sardine and sword fish and meat barbeque and Istrian pasta with meat ragout.
