
THE FESTIVAL ‘SETE SOIS SETE LUAS’
Venue: Rovinj, M. Tito Square, from July 23 - 25 at 21:30
Mediterranean ethno music festival called Sete Sois Sete Luas (Seven Suns Seven Moons) will take place in Rovinj, from July 23 to 25.
In 2009 it will be the 17th Festival's event, which is promoted throughout the Cultural Networks in 30 towns and 10 different countries: Brasil, Cabo Verde, Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain. Festival presents projects of ethno music, street theatre and fine arts, along with a participation of great names of the Mediterranean culture.
Due to its European dimension and great cultural value of the project, the European Union supports it through programmes like Kaleidoscope, Culture 2000 and Interreg IIIB Medocc. An intention of the project is to enable an exchange of artists, and cultures through various forms of arts (music, photography, oenological-gastronomic culture). The Festival's Presidents of Honour are winners of the Nobel Prize Jose Saramago and Dario Fo.

Visitors, who will come to the Festival in Rovinj, shall, besides concerts of Mediterranean music, enjoy in oenological-gastronomic that will be organised in the town square. Organizers of the Festival in Rovinj, besides the support of the central organization team Sete Sois Sete Luas are: County of Istria, Town Rovinj, and Rovinj Tourist Association, Edi Maružin. |
