TOURIST BOARD WISHES A HOLIDAYS BY EASTER BREAKFAST

Uskrs 2009

The town tourist board, in cooperation with Spacia Grota and Eugen Kumičić Vocational School, organized an outdoor Easter breakfast in Valdibora for the first time. This north town port made a natural and almost incredibly beautiful setting for this event that attracted numerous visitors. The old town core on the left with its dimensions, colors and architecture attracted visitors’ attention, while the true sea wolves were mostly mesmerized by the yachts moored in the port, their eyes directed at the high seas. The romantic atmosphere and the view from Valdibora were supplemented by music and dancing provided by the members of Rovinj’s folk band Batana.

Catering stands were located on the very waterfront in Valdibora, next to the park, attracting both local and foreign visitors with their gastro delicacies. This is no wonder as each stand offered one of the traditional holiday treats, including painted eggs, the symbols of Easter, spring onions, ham and Easter bread, and a glass of Grota white Malvasia. According to the Easter breakfast chef Igor Žužić, they distributed a total of 150 eggs and the same number of spring onions, two prosciutto hams cut into delicious pieces, thirty Easter breads and the same amount of wine.

The Easter breakfast in Valdibora delighted the guests and at the same time showed that Rovinj’s tourist employees have the imagination and will to make the first major arrival of guests in one of the most beautiful towns in the Adriatic unforgettable.
